Drury University

Drury University is a private liberal arts college in Springfield, Missouri. Established in 1873, Drury is consistently ranked among the best liberal arts college in the American Midwest.

Drury University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. The university offers 54 undergraduate majors and several professional degrees through the Hammons School of Architecture, Breech School of Business Administration, and the School of Education and Child Development. Universities enroll about 1,600 students, 450 graduate students in six master's programs, and 3160 students at the College of Continuing Professional Studies.

NCAA Division II athletics team Drury among competing in men's basketball and women, men and transnational women's, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, swimming men and women, tennis male and women, boys baseball, girls softball, and volleyball women.

School is a founding member of the Heartland Conference. In the fall of 2005, Drury Panthers joined the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Baseball, on hiatus since the 1970s, reorganized for the 2007 season with a new head coach Mark Stratton. Also in 2007, the head swimming coach Brian Reynolds Drury men inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.

On April 7, 2013, Drury won the Division II National Championships in Men's Basketball, Metro State beat Denver 74-73 after rallying from a 17-point deficit. Panthers won their last 23 matches this season - a school record - to finish 31-4 on the season. They also captured their second Great Lakes Valley Conference championship and the first NCAA Division II Midwest Regional along the way. In accordance with the recent habit, Division II champions invited to play an exhibition game against Duke University
